Futuron Inc ("we," "our," or "us") operates the BirdOdex mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.
Photos & Camera: When you use the bird identification feature, we send your photo to our AI identification service (Google Gemini API) for processing. Photos are sent securely and are not stored on our servers after identification is complete.
Location Data: With your permission, we collect approximate location data to show regional birds and to pin your sightings on the map. Location data is stored locally on your device.
Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage data such as app opens, features used, and bird identifications to improve the app experience.
Purchase Data: If you subscribe to BirdOdex Pro, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store credit card information.
Your bird collection, sightings, streaks, and profile data are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain user accounts or store personal data on external servers.
BirdOdex is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Photos sent for bird identification are processed in real-time and are not retained after the identification response is returned. Local app data persists on your device until you delete the app.
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control. You can delete all data by uninstalling the app. For any questions about your data, contact us at privacy@birdodex.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or on our website.
